Ingredients:
- 6 slices of buttered bread
- 2 tblsp. dried sultanas
- 1 egg
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Method:
- Grease a medium-sized oven proof dish with butter.
- Cover the bottom with a layer of buttered bread
- Sprinkle some of the sultanas.
- Repeat the process ending with the layer of bread.
- Beat the egg well and then add milk and vanilla essence to it.
- Pour this mixture over the bread and bake it in the over at 180 degree centigrade for 45 minutes or until browned on top.
